About Scatter Joyfulness Greetings™

Hi, I’m Joy Arnold, founder of Scatter Joyfulness Greetings™, a small creative studio in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

I design limited-edition micro art greeting card gifts for people who still believe a card can do more than check a box.

Each Scatter Joyfulness Greetings™ card is then created, printed, assembled, and hand-finished by me, one at a time, as orders are received. Every design is limited to only twelve pieces. The lined back provides space for your handwritten message, while the front can be displayed as a small piece of art and enjoyed again through the detachable bookmark.

That’s the heart behind the phrase I use often:

Three joyful uses in one.

How Scatter Joyfulness Began

Scatter Joyfulness began in 2024 with a Valentine idea for my husband.

I started creating whimsical little images as daily gifts, simply because I wanted to offer something personal, cheerful, and from the heart without making life more complicated or expensive.

At the time, there was no shop, no business plan, no product line, and no grand announcement. I had no idea Scatter Joyfulness would grow into what it is today.

What I did have was my already-heartfelt passion to notice people, create with care, and scatter small seeds of encouragement where I could.

Over time, those little Valentine beginnings became a larger collection of micro art greeting card gifts, each one designed to help someone say, “I thought of you,” “you matter,” “thank you,” “happy birthday,” “I’m praying for you,” or simply, “this made me think of you.”

What Makes These Cards Different

Scatter Joyfulness Greetings™ cards are flat 5x7 micro art greeting card gifts printed on textured watercolor paper.

The video on the homepage shows how they work.

Each one includes:

  • a 5x5 artwork area

  • a detachable bookmark

  • space on the back for a handwritten message

  • an embossed envelope

  • a Scatter Joyfulness sticker

  • U.S. shipping included in the price

I don’t create back stock. Each design is individually hand-finished one at a time in the order received.

The limited-edition number of twelve helps me keep the work personal, unhurried, and carefully made. It also allows the shop to remain small enough for each design to feel like a true studio piece, instead of a mass-produced card pulled from a warehouse shelf.

A Note About Commissioned Pieces

Most Scatter Joyfulness Greetings™ cards are available directly through the online shop, with new designs added along the way.

I also accept a small number of commissioned pieces each month. These may include custom wording, meaningful details, or a design created with a specific recipient in mind.

Because this work is intentionally thoughtful and carefully made, I keep commissioned pieces limited.

If you have something tender, joyful, funny, thankful, faith-filled, or wonderfully specific in mind, you’re welcome to reach out through the Contact page. We can begin with a conversation and see whether it feels like a good fit.

Faith, Encouragement, and the Mission

My faith is part of who I am, and Scatter Joyfulness is part of how I hope to offer encouragement through God’s love.

Not every card has Scripture on it. Some are faith-forward. Some are purely playful and all the way whimsical. Some are full of flowers, animals, thank yous, birthdays, friendship, or ordinary moments worth noticing.

The invitation is quiet on purpose.

My hope is that each visitor feels welcome here, whether you came looking for a birthday card, a kind message, a curious phrase, a flower story, or a reminder that you’re not walking alone.

The Joyographer's Eye

Long before Scatter Joyfulness Greetings™, I spent years noticing people through photography, copywriting, media, sales, marketing, and everyday conversations.

Today, I call myself a joyographer.

To me, a joyographer is someone who notices, creates, records, and scatters joyfulness through words, art, stories, and everyday encounters.

Photography taught me to notice expression, light, posture, and the tiny details that help people feel seen.

That same way of seeing now shapes every Scatter Joyfulness creation.

A heart finds its way into every Scatter Joyfulness Greetings™ creation because to me, it represents God’s love. Some hearts are easy to spot. Others are tucked into the artwork like a smiling discovery waiting to be noticed.

They’re part of my joyography too, quietly weaving through the words, art, stories, and encouragement I hope we’ll scatter together.

How AI Fits Into the Process

I use AI as one creative tool in a human-led process.

I think of it a bit like a modern creative brush. The idea still begins with a person. The noticing, choosing, shaping, editing, printing, finishing, and final care still come through human hands.

Mine.

Years ago, I was an early adopter of digital photography, back when people were still wondering what to make of it. Now most of us carry cameras in our pockets and hardly blink at the thought.

AI feels like another one of those creative shifts.

It’s not the heart of Scatter Joyfulness, and it’s not the whole process.

It’s one tool I use to explore visual possibilities, organize ideas, and move from what I’m imagining toward something I can refine, print, finish, and share.

The idea, direction, editing choices, wording, product preparation, printing, assembly, finishing, packaging, and final approval all come through me.

A finished Scatter Joyfulness Greetings™ card isn’t a one-click print.

Each piece is selected, refined, prepared, printed, checked, hand-finished, and packaged with care before it leaves my studio.

The Studio Journal

The Studio Journal is where I share the stories, phrases, flowers, faith notes, card ideas, and everyday observations behind Scatter Joyfulness.

You’ll find card message help for times when the right words feel shy.

You’ll find stories behind certain designs.

You’ll also find ordinary things I noticed and couldn’t quite leave alone.

My hope is that the Studio Journal becomes a small library of encouragement, useful card-writing help, and original reflections visitors can return to when they need words, a kind nudge, or a little more joyfulness in the day.

And Yes, Bunny Is Here Too

Bunny, also known around here as Bunners, is my fluffy dachshund and official Chief Cuddle Officer.

She’s very much a dog, not a rabbit, though her name has been known to confuse both people and AI.

Bunny is part of the Scatter Joyfulness studio rhythm.

She doesn’t assemble cards, approve shipping labels, or answer emails, though I suspect she’d reconsider if snacks were involved.

Especially chicken.

She does, however, keep me company while I create, pray, write, print, package, and send these little pieces of joyfulness into the world.

Where Will You Scatter Joyfulness Today?

Thank you for being here.

Whether you send one card, read one Studio Journal post, share a kind word with someone nearby, or simply pause long enough to notice something good, I’m grateful you found your way to Scatter Joyfulness Greetings™.

Yours in scattering joyfulness,
Joy
& Bunny
